Students will learn art theory concepts such as: the elements and principles of design, typography, composition, and color theory. You will use the powerful software tools needed to create digital art for print such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. You will learn to edit and adjust photographs, create photo manipulations, original illustrations, and commercial art such as advertisements, posters and/or logos, GIF's, small animations and so much more.
Possible projects include: Logo design, poster design, advertisements, package design, self-portraits, typographic design, vector illustrations, album cover design, t-shirt design, and many student choice projects based on specific prompts.
Prior knowledge of software is not required for this class, you will be learning all the programs during class.

We Use State of the Art 27" Mac computers. We use the Creative Cloud Apps with a focus on Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. (Industry Standard programs for all designers.)
Certifications
A final assessment will be given to all Seniors. This test will encompass all the students learned throughout the year. When the students pass, they will receive a Certificate to show that your child is skilled in Graphic Design.
