BiographyWelcome to Graphic Design/Commercial Art at EBTech. Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I knew at an early age, that I wanted to do something art related. My High School Art teacher is the woman who helped me realize the potential I had as an artist. At the time, I didn't even really know what DESIGN was or what it meant. But I learned that I loved it. I graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design. At my first job I created package designs for M&M Mars. (Yes, I got free candy). I then went on to work in Advertising. I started out as a Mechanical Artist and went on to become Creative Director. I created/designed Ads for many big name clients and had a great time doing it. After my children were born, I decided I wanted to work from home, so I freelanced for a few years. I finally decided to enter teaching because I knew I wanted to help young students realize their potential, just as my High School teacher did for me. I believe very strongly in the importance of art and design in our society and strongly believe that the the Graphic Design/Communication Arts Program here will help prepare your child for an exciting and growing career. |
